I have an all original condition 1977 AMC Pacer wagon. I purchased it in 8/09 with 40,000 miles. It currently has 53,000 (8/15). The only difference between the Pacer wagon & the coupe is that the wagon is 4″ longer overall.
Pacer’s have a passenger door that is 4″ longer than the driver’s door, cab-forward design, & rack & pinion steering. My dad & Currently my dad has a 1976 Pacer coupe. I have owned 7 of them over the years – 4 wagons & 3 coupes. The car is a lot of fun.
The name is due to my 2 sons who think it is very ugly.
